ICLAP 2015

Call for Papers

Researchers are invited to submit their abstracts of papers on original and unpublished research work in any dimension of theoretical or applied linguistics for presentation in the conference by August 02, 2015 via the EasyAbs System. Abstracts should be written in English and the size of an abstract should not exceed the limit of 300 words including the title. Abstracts of the papers accepted for oral presentation will be published in the Book of Abstracts.

In case of any problem or difficulty with the online submission system, the abstracts can be submitted to iclap2015@gmail.com.

Call for Tutorials

ICLAP 2015 seeks proposals for tutorials on any topic of language, linguistics and the related fields. The tutorial should be of 1.5 hour length. For in-depth tutorials, proposals for two slots can be submitted. The tutorials should preferably cover the advances in the newly emerging areas.

Submission

Proposals of Tutorials should be submitted by electronic mail, in pdf form, to iclap2015@gmail.com. The subject line should be: ICLAP 2015 Tutorial Proposal.

The proposal should contain:

- Tutorial title

- Brief description of the tutorial contents and its relevance to the language/linguistics community (not more than 1 page)

- Brief outline of the tutorial structure showing that the contents will be covered in the allocated time slot

- Characterization of the potential target audience for the tutorial

- The names, postal addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of the tutorial instructors, including a one-paragraph statement of their research interests and areas of expertise

- A list of previous venues, if the same or a similar tutorial has been given elsewhere

- A description of special requirements for technical equipment (e.g. internet access)

Kinnaird College in Lahore is the premier women's college of Pakistan which was founded in 1913 and gained degree awarding status in 2002. The Department of English at Kinnaird College is the first department of its kind in Pakistan where academic programs in linguistics, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, are running successfully. Degrees of B.A Honors in Linguistics and M.Phil in Applied Linguistics are offered separately from degrees in English Literature.

The abstracts of the papers accepted for oral presentation will be published in the Book of Abstracts. Authors are therefore requested to submit their abstracts as per the Abstract Submission Guidelines.

After the ICLAP conference is successfully over, the participants would be asked to send their full papers for publishing in the Journal of the Linguistic Association of Pakistan. The papers will be sent for blind review before their publication
